Dermot F Geoghegan Architects are RIAI Conservation Grade 3 accredited and have a wide range of experience on historic buildings projects, for clients ranging from private owners to national institutions.
If you own a Protected Structure or a property within an Architectural Conservation Area and wish to develop it or carry out work to it, we can assess and advise on appropriate methods and materials, on what is and is not considered to be exempt development and consult with the local Planning Authority on your behalf, including preparing conservation reports if required.
If you are considering purchasing a property which is a Protected Structure, we can undertake a condition survey and advise on work that may need to be carried out and how this should be done.
If your project impacts upon a Protected Structure, we can prepare an impact assessment report as part of the planning submission.
Most historic buildings by their nature are in need of care, attention and maintenance and we enjoy being involved in this aspect of architecture and helping preserve our built heritage for future generations.
